For The Monsoon Season Kicking In!

With rainy season kicking in after a long wait,  there is no stopping for me to go out of the house. I personally love this season even after all that keechad ruining my clothes.

But not everybody is okay with spoiling their clothes and also cannot sit back at home. 

This Monday it rained real bad, and i had to go out on a casual lunch with my girlfriends. This time i didn't want to ruin my clothes, so i wore a pair of black Jeggings so that the mud stains aren't visible that much, i paired it with a red spaghetti and wore a black printed cape, so even if i get drenched it would take long to dry.

I wore a black gold strapped jelly sandals as it can be cleaned easily. And to protect my money and phone i carried a clutch.

For Any Occasion!!

Isn't it great to have a male sibling? And you fitting into his clothes is like sone pe suhaga:P. Whenever I get a chance I grab his t-shirts and shirts. I recently bought him a shirt, and forced him to wear it the very next day, so that i get to wear it later:P. 

It was my parent's anniversary the other day and we were going out for lunch, so i pulled out my brother's Black White checked shirt. I paired it with basic Black jeggings.

To enhance the look I wore White silver ballies, with round over sized sunglasses, and a cross body bag.

This is how it looked. You can wear this anywhere you want. You will neither be under dressed nor over dressed.

One heck of a night with Anushka Manchanda and Allu Arjun.

Being a Fashion Design student I don't get enough time in the day to go out with friends, nor i get permission from my parents to party every other night. For the past one month me and my friends were craving for a night out. We wanted to party, have fun, kick in hot dresses and live the night. we were eagerly waiting for the next day when our submissions were to get over. 

Everything fell in place, all of us got permission from our parents, had our names in the guest list, we were all dolled up. 

But who knew that the party would bore us to the core. we were very disheartened. 

But god had alot in store for us, while we were planning to leave we saw Anushka Manchanda and Allu Arjun setting the foot in the club. With hopes in our eyes we went up to another level of excitement, who didn't want to shake their butts with Allu Arjun on songs like dance basanti, dum maaro dum sung by the famous Anushka Manchanda. 

We requested them to save our night and perform for us. Being down to earth they said yes without giving another thought to it.

Before Anushka and Allu went up on the stage people weren't interested in what was playing they were busy sitting and chatting. Her voice and his moves took over the crowd. Everybody started to whirl and twirl. We were the puppets. 

I could not take my eyes of Allu, the way he moved it made all the girls drool, and guys obviously were being ignored.;P.

Nevertheless, Anushka got every body's attention for the hep songs she was singing. People die for her concerts and we were lucky enough to get to groove on her songs without paying for the tickets;P.

Generally the club shuts at 1, but this time people were not ready to leave. The party went on till 5 in the morning. we were tired as hell, our legs were paining, we were high on life. After something good, something bad always happens with me. I forgot that i had curfew time at home, nobody realized how late we got. we were pasted at home, half of us were grounded for another month. But no regrets we had the time of our life. We werent high on alcohol but high on life. It was one heck of a night.

Take Out Your Old Suits And Wear Them Today!!

I was cleaning my cupboard today, and all i could see were the ethnic suits and lehengas which I bought for my brother's wedding last year. I didn't know what to do with them, obviously I was not going to wear them for somebody Else's wedding and I couldn't throw them either. I remember how my mother ate my head for buying so many of them. I had to put them in some other use.

I mix matched two of them. One was a magenta Salwar and short kurti and second was a Blue White cape with Blue lehenga. I mixed the two and wore the Blue White cape with magenta Salwar, I finished the look with kolapuri chappals and wooden bangles to give it a casual look. 

As an icing on the cake Kavisha Kundlani(MUA) gave my hair a twisted braid ( to learn how to make a twisted braid check out my older post - http://stylentra.blogspot.in/2015/05/style-your-hair-in-two-minutes.html ) and did a neutral make up.

Dungarees A Wardrobe Essential This Summer!!

Helloo girlfriends. 

We all know with every new season kicking in we tend to rush out to get new collections. And each time we are stressed we grab our bags and go shopping.

With college being shut for a while, and I have nothing to do except for shopping online.

This weekend i went out for thrift shopping, and bagged a dozen of things. And my best buy that day was this dungaree. I was super excited to wear this so i made a plan to go out the very next day.

I wanted to look perfect so Kavisha Kundlani (MUA) helped in doing my make up and hair, she tied them into a fish braid and gave me winged eyes.

I paired it with a grey black striped crop top, and blacked gladiators. To add to the look I wore pearl ear cuffs and golden bangles.

For Those Lazy Days!!

When i woke up this Sunday morning, i was expecting it to be a day to rest after a long and tiring week. Delighted i was to realize that this was one of the days where i could  rest all day or wear whatever i want to, or not wear kajal the entire day or i didn't have to look into the mirror to fix my hair after every few hours. Little did i know that my sister was coming over so that we can go out and chill. I could see my Sunday going down the drain. I was feeling very lazy to look good, and seeing the heat outside i took out my denim Shirt dress and paired it with comfortable boyfriend shoes.  I was in no mood to wash my hair so i tied them into a messy bun, wore my watch, picked my bag and left. 

Easy? Isn't it? Also this didn't take much time of mine.

We all can notice the changes in the fashion trends these days. Things which were in vogue years ago are now coming back. As a proof we can see pallazos and A-lines ruling almost every girls wardrobe. Just like clothes, body accessories are also making a come back. Funky body stickers being one of them, are used and loved by women all over the world. These stickers have been stealing everybody's attention lately. You can wear these anywhere, the same way how you wear your neckpieces or rings or bracelets. 

Why to buy accessories rather put funky stickers(you will never get bored of them, because you will never repeat what you wore the other day*wink* *wink*). 

Because I'm really fascinated by the DIYs these days, i tried making these stickers. They aren't gonna stick, because we will be making them with body metallic paints.

You can find any pattern you like and get them printed on a gum sheet.

Cut these out and paste them on your hand to define which area is to be painted.

use metallic body paints, and paint the areas. Then peal the paper off.

And this is how it looks when its is done

Style Your Hair In Two Minutes

How hard is it to get up in the morning? One second, this cannot be a question, because  it is very very very hard. And what makes it harder is when you have to look nice and you don't have time. And you have to choose if you wanna look good or sleep a little more. In my case sleeping always wins. 

Well we cannot do anything about it, but instead i found 2 amazing hairstyles which will take less then 5 minutes and will make you look nothing less then Katrina Kaif.

This one is very easy. Start with taking few strands of your hair, and divide them into two.  To make it clearer i have marked the two parts with two different colors. Take the red one over the yellow and then do the same with the yellow.
Add few more strands to the red ones and take them over the yellow ones, do the same with the yellow strands. Repeat this process and look pretty in two minutes.

This one is easy and cute. First step is to half tie your hair, then take two sections from both the sides and tie them under the first tie. then flip the lower section, and you are done.

Roar like the 20's

Wearing 1920's flapper dresses and walking down the road is unimaginable today.

Being a styling student i thought of coming up with an idea of wearing those pretty flappers today. Flapper dresses are the ones with no defined waist line and not sticking to your body. 

I chose the blue leatger jacket to pair up with tge peach and gold flapper dress to attain a bold yet a chic look. Wear Bovver boots to compliment the jacket. And accessorise according to your choice to complete the look.
